CAP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization

The aviation education program of the Civil Air Patrol qualifies as a "nonprofit educational organization" for purposes of the exemption from retailers, manufacturers, communications, and transportation taxes. Organizations described in section 501(c)(3) are commonly referred to as charitable organizations. Organizations described in section 501(c)(3), other than testing for public safety organizations, are eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions in accordance with Code section 170.  Donate to the Cadet Cause

Civil Air Patrol partners with Wreaths Across America.  The 2019 ceremony is slated for mid December at National cemeteries across the U.S.  Wreaths Across America is a very moving way to honor those who served, and is an effective unit-level fundraising activity.  For more information https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/
